"Why," you ask? Because we want profile pages to have freedom of customization, but also to have some consistency. This way, when anyone visits a deviant, they know they can always find the art in the top left, and personal info in the top right.

Having said that, I used to have a black lady's wig - no, not the wig of a black lady, a black wig designed for ladies. And I looked very cute in it, kind of like Cleopatra. XD Hahahaha in my dreams! XD Um, not that I ever dream of being Cleopatra. No, really, never. XD
This leads me on to the consideration that I might actually dye my hair black since it suits me. On the other hand, black hair dye is supposed to be very bad for you and can cause cancer. Hmm... so maybe not. Besides, stark black is very harsh and hardly ever looks natural unless you're a manga character. Which I'm not.
